To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this letter in support of Bethany Suzanne and in full support of her search for additional or new employment. For almost five years, Bethany has been employed as the nanny of our two children Jackson (now age 8) and Lauren (now age 5) and has become and integral and cherished part of our family. She possesses an uncommon drive for excellence and passion for life that is unfortunately all too rare in this day and age. During these past five years, Bethany has helped our family navigate many life changes that would have otherwise been far more challenging and disruptive had she not been in our employ. These have included housing relocations, evolving educational and medical needs, addition of and loss of family pets, and the general maturing of our children. She has implemented discipline and structure balanced with an environment of safety and care for our children-helping to raise them with maturity, self respect, grace, humor, wellness, and an appreciation for all facets of music and the arts. Bethany has given our children both the broad awareness of the world around them and the confidence and skills necessary to navigate through that world while still maintaining and nurturing the fun and innocence of childhood. She demonstrates strong qualities of dependability, adaptability, patience, intellectual depth, and an overall ability to accept and navigate challenges positively.
In January of 2011, Jackson (age 5) was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes as you know is incurable and renders the patient insulin dependent for life. If not managed properly, it can cause many harmful side effects to the body and, without constant monitoring, can even cause death. It is a stressful scenario to say the least. Characteristically, Bethany rose to these new challenges, never hesitating to learn all the medical aspects of Jackson’s condition and has become an invaluable caregiver in that regard. She has been a major supporter to the entire family through this time with great sensitivity to the emotional turmoil a lifetime illness incurs on a family. She has been dependable and steady within all areas of caloric counting, site changes, injections, and emergency situations. Adding to the stress and the potential for major complications, both my wife and I have been commuting into the city for our respective jobs over the past 18months. Perhaps nothing says more about Bethany’s competence, maturity and professionalism then this extraordinary level of trust we have placed in her with the care and safety of our children.
I can say without reservation that our children have benefitted greatly from being in Bethany’s care. The qualities she has instilled within Jackson and Lauren are evident based on their academic, social, and personal growth and has helped lay a solid foundation for the rest of their lives. The children have a wonderful sense of humor, an extraordinary vocabulary, and a profound sense of self. They are able to take responsibility for themselves and openly acknowledge a deep love for Bethany. We have been very proud to have Bethany as our nanny and would recommend her whole-heartedly to anyone looking for someone in which to place the care, development, and safety of their children.
Sincerely,
Robert L. Moul
